Work-Based Learning

Work-based learning (WBL) describes any formalized learning consisting of instruction that occurs concurrently at a school and a worksite. Here at Focus Beyond we offer a wide spectrum of work-based Learning opportunities including:

20 + Community Based Worksites
Coaching and support for independent workers
Job Coaches that work with students as they work towards their individual employment goals.
And More!

Some students who participate in the Work Based Learning program will meet with their Job Coach at school and use public transit to travel to their community-based worksite. Students travel back to school or depart directly for home or other educational opportunities depending on their goals.
